'I'm going to need you to fix that': Karen and Kevin demand that neighbor's cat tower left for trash pickup be cleaned, daughter enacts petty revenge

Karen and Kevin clearly only deserve the cat tower as is. Thankfully, this isn't another story where a Karen or Kevin throws a tantrum and doesn't get the comeuppance they very much have earned. Here, it wasn't even the Redditor that delivered the final blow. That would be the Redditor's daughter, who enacted some dumpster-related petty revenge that proves she was raised correctly.

 

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit by u/JynxMama, who recounted that he and his family replaced their cat tower and left it on the curb for pickup at the end of the week. At this point, the old cat tower was torn up and also had some dried vomit on it. Clearly, it was time for it to go. Well, when this Karen and Kevin couple decided they wanted to take the cat tower from them, the Redditor said "by all means," but it wasn't until they requested that it be cleaned that the conflict really began.     Font - We set up the new tower and after asking around to our friends couldn't find anyone who wanted it. So we took it out to the curb to get rid of it. Large trash pickup was coming up so we figured if anyone wanted it, they would have plenty of time to grab it before trash pickup.     Font - I work from home but my office is in the back of my house. We have a ring camera and around 10 am one morning the door bell rings. I am in a meeting with my boss so I check the app, see that I don't know who these people (Kevin and Karen) are and go back to my meeting. About 45 minutes later the door bell rings again.     Font - About this time my phone started ringing and I needed to get back to work. But I wasn't going to leave without my packages. Just as I am about to get angry with these people, my retired military grizzled biker looking neighbor pulls up in his pick up truck (he is a big cat but it very protective of us and especially our two daughters.)

    Font - My neighbor calls over to me and starts heading over to where we are standing on my porch. I guess Kevin got nervous so at that point he shoved my packages at me and then said "well, just leave the tower on the porch and we will pick it up when we can"

    Font - MK: It was really easy once I took it apart and put all the hardware in this ziploc bag that accidentally fell into the trash can with the used cat litter. So if Kevin and Karen want the cat tower, it's still available. But they will have to go dumpster diving for the hardware.

Every time we get a nice new one, we leave the old one nearby for a bit to ease the transition. Then the old one moves to a corner somewhere and suddenly aquires cats. None has made it successfully out of the household
